Short history

The Croatian Catholic Community Waiblingen began acting independently in 1982 when it separated from Croatian Catholic CMission Stuttgart. At the beginning of this century, there was a new organization in the diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, according to which earlier missions ceased to work, and new Croatian Catholic communities were established with their pastoral councils, separate rooms and each one operated independently of each other. Thus, two Croatian Catholic communities were established in the area of the former Mission Waiblingen: Croatian Catholic community St. Nicholas Tavelic - Waiblingen (founded on January 2, 2006) Croatian Catholic community St. Ante Padovanski - Backnang (founded on July 1, 2005) Both communities have about 2500 Catholics.
