My great great grandfather was born in Hreljin on October 31, 1949, and was baptised under the name Karl Polić (or "Carolus" as can be seen in the baptism deed).

He moved to Argentina on March 1969. He travelled on a boat called Savoié that departed from Geneva. He lived in Buenos Aires for a couple of years and then moved to Tucumán, where he married, had 7 children and died.

His children were baptised under the surname "Polich", and my grandfather's generation were baptised as "Poliche".
