In the very early 1900's my ancestors immigrated from Croatia to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA area. Our last name was Goricanec, however the spelling was changed to Gorichanaz upon arriving at Ellis Island. Today there are quite a few of us living around Wisconsin, California, the East Coast of the US, and even in Alaska. I am currently trying to trace our history back to Croatia.
